Door-to-port shipping from the USA to Europe
We pick up at your US address, handle all export documentation, load onto the next weekly Atlantic sailing, and assign a customs broker at the European destination port. The vessel crosses the Atlantic — typically 5 to 6 weeks from East Coast ports — and arrives at your chosen European port ready for customs clearance and collection. One company manages the full journey, start to finish.
RoRo vs container shipping to Europe
Two methods available for all European destinations. Choose based on your motorcycle’s value, condition, and budget. The right method also depends on which European country you’re shipping to — check the individual country page for availability.
RoRo — Roll-On/Roll-Off
Standard — most European shipments
Your motorcycle is secured on the car deck inside the vessel — protected for the full Atlantic crossing. Guaranteed departure and arrival dates, cost-effective, and the most widely used method for European routes. Available from all 8 US departure ports on most routes. Bike must be in working order to ride onto the vessel.
Container Shipping
Premium — high-value, vintage & inoperable bikes
Your motorcycle ships in a sealed steel container — fully isolated from other cargo for the entire Atlantic crossing. The right method for inoperable motorcycles, rare vintage bikes, or collector-grade machines where maximum protection is the priority. Container availability varies by European destination — check the individual country page or call us to confirm availability for your route.
From your US address to the departure port
Every European shipment starts with an enclosed truck run from your US location to the departure port. Two domestic options are available.

Documents required to ship a motorcycle to Europe
Have the following ready before booking. Check the individual country page for destination-specific documentation — requirements can vary by country.
- Bill of sale
- Original clear title — your name on the front as registered owner. If recently sold, both seller and buyer must sign the back of the title as indicated
- Valid passport or government-issued ID — required at collection at the European arrival port
- Fuel level at or below a quarter tank before pickup

What to expect at European customs
Customs rules vary across Europe — EU member states share a common external tariff, while Norway, Switzerland, and the UK operate their own independent customs systems. Your assigned broker handles clearance at the arrival port.
EU Member States
Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden
EU external customs tariff applies to US motorcycle imports. Local VAT assessed at the arrival port. Your assigned broker handles clearance. Recipient pays applicable duties and VAT on-site in cash.
Norway & Switzerland
Non-EU — EEA and independent customs
Norway (EEA) and Switzerland operate independent customs systems — EU external tariff does not apply. Norwegian and Swiss import duties and VAT are assessed separately at the arrival port. Check individual country pages for details.
United Kingdom
Post-Brexit independent customs
Since Brexit, the UK operates its own independent customs and tariff system. UK import duties and VAT apply to US motorcycle imports — separate from EU rules. Your assigned broker handles UK customs clearance at the arrival port.
We do not publish specific duty or VAT rates — rates depend on the declared value of the motorcycle at time of import and are subject to change. Check the individual country page for your destination or call 1-888-347-1391 before booking.
